Sr. Data and AI Engineer

Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance typically 1–2 times per week

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Support product discovery by connecting technical, business, and customer needs to achievable objectives.
• Design, analyze, and implement large-scale, complex data architectures.
• Evaluate, architect, prototype, and deploy AI, Generative AI, and agentic AI solutions.
• Develop roadmaps that address organizational data challenges and align architectural capabilities with business needs.
• Work hands-on with developers to deliver solutions and provide customer-facing technical support.
• Mentor data engineers, establish engineering best practices, conduct code reviews, and support business development and customer solutioning.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of IT experience, including large-scale data architecture design, analysis, and implementation.
• 5+ years of data experience evaluating, architecting, and building AI and Generative AI tools.
• Experience developing and implementing agentic AI solutions, rapid prototypes, and data-driven business solutions.
• Knowledge of data management, data architecture, data warehousing, big data, data analytics, and data science concepts and tools.
• Experience deploying AWS cloud-native data and AI technologies, working in Agile environments, and communicating technical solutions to stakeholders at multiple leadership levels.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure cloud-native data and AI technologies.
• Experience in defense, intelligence, or government contracting.
• Python, Django, Flask, Java, PostgreSQL Vector, NiFi, Bash, API development, and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• AI-assisted development and testing experience.
• Experience evaluating emerging big data technologies, advising customers, and working across on-premises and cloud environments.
