Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; Work model: Hybrid. Early working hours are required to overlap with the overseas engineering team.

Base salary: $200,000 per year; OTE: $300,000.

What you will do

• Build enterprise data pipelines using AI agent tooling.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for client engineers and senior leadership.
• Clarify requirements, resolve data discrepancies, and map data models across systems.
• Work with the platform team to improve internal tooling based on field experience.
• Deliver proof-of-concept projects that lead to larger engagements.
• Help establish practices for the US field engineering team.

Requirements

• 5–6 years of professional experience, including experience at a large technology company and a startup.
• Experience building enterprise data pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with senior client stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and a reliable execution record.
• Ability to start the working day early for collaboration with an overseas engineering team.

Nice to have

• Experience with data lake architecture.
• Experience with AI agent tooling.
