Director of Finance Systems Engineering

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for enterprise planning and forecasting platforms, custom Finance applications, SaaS solutions, and related software engineering.
• Partner with Finance leaders to translate transformation objectives into technology strategies, solutions, and multi-year portfolio roadmaps.
• Own platform lifecycle, technical debt, operational sustainability, reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability across the Finance technology portfolio.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario-modeling solutions and integrate them with SAP and the wider enterprise ecosystem.
• Build partnerships with Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, ML Engineering, Integration, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams.
• Enable responsible adoption of AI and machine learning for forecasting, financial analysis, automation, predictive insights, anomaly detection, and decision support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise application or software engineering organizations in large enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of experience leading through managers, including organizational design, talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams across software engineering, enterprise applications, planning applications, systems analysis, product ownership, and technical program management.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario-modeling platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Finance processes, software engineering, enterprise architecture, integration, data, cloud concepts, executive communication, and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning, SAP Analytics Cloud, or comparable planning platforms.
• Experience leading custom enterprise solutions using Golang, Java, or comparable programming languages.
• Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures, enterprise integration patterns, and Finance SaaS platforms such as Coupa or Rightsline.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and production AI or machine learning capabilities integrated into enterprise applications or business processes.
• Experience supporting technology-enabled Finance transformation in a large global organization.
