Director of Engineering (Modeling & Rendering, Simulation, Distributed Computing, QA)

Location: Remote roles available in Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with a US headquarters option in New York.

What you will do

• Lead the engineering organization responsible for modeling and rendering, simulation, distributed computing, and quality engineering.
• Translate platform strategy into engineering plans with clear ownership, sequencing, and execution accountability.
• Hire, develop, and coach engineering managers across multiple platform teams.
• Lead the adoption of an AI-assisted software development lifecycle in partnership with AI and hardware partners.
• Improve the full delivery path from planning and development through testing, quality, and release by increasing automation.
• Deliver the next-generation collaborative product while continuing to ship and improve existing products.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading engineering organizations and managing engineering managers across multiple teams.
• Demonstrated success making engineering planning, development, testing, or delivery faster.
• Experience delivering a new product from zero to one while maintaining existing products.
• Hands-on experience adopting AI-assisted development, with a clear view of its impact on process, staffing, and quality.
• Technical depth in geometry, GPU computing, physics simulation, or distributed systems.
• Strong prioritization and decision-making skills under ambitious timelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD, CAE, PLM, engineering software, or other domains where errors are costly.
• Experience building real-time collaborative or multi-user systems.
• Experience modernizing quality engineering through automated, continuous testing.
• Experience leading distributed teams across US and European time zones.
• Familiarity with C++ and Python codebases and GPU-accelerated computing.
