VP/Director, Cloud Platform (Software Engineering)

hirify.global is building a full-stack AI cloud spanning data centers, hardware, and a cloud platform for leading AI teams. The company is headquartered in Helsinki and operates offices in London and San Francisco.

What you will do

• Set the vision, goals, and technical direction for the cloud platform in partnership with Product.
• Lead platform development across compute, storage, Kubernetes, serverless, inference, console, APIs, SDKs, CLI, identity, and billing.
• Scale the engineering organization by hiring, coaching Engineering Managers and technical leaders, and expanding team ownership.
• Own delivery commitments, capacity allocation, risk management, and customer outcomes.
• Improve workflows for people and AI agents through clear interfaces, permissions, predictable behavior, and visibility into actions, costs, and results.
• Raise standards for testing, security, observability, operations, reliability, and AI-assisted engineering.

Requirements

• Experience scaling an engineering organization and developing managers and technical leaders.
• Deep technical judgment in cloud platforms or distributed systems, with current experience writing, reviewing, and debugging production software.
• Experience carrying technical decisions through implementation and improving delivery or reliability.
• Strong product and business judgment, with the ability to connect technical work to customer and business outcomes.
• Practical experience using coding agents and willingness to rethink established engineering workflows.
• Clear communication, influence, collaboration, empathy, and self-awareness.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPU cloud services, developer platforms, or AI workloads.
