Focus on coaching engineering teams, planning new IBM i opportunities including electronic invoicing applications, and transferring specialized platform knowledge.

What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports responsible for designing, building, testing, releasing, and supporting IBM i software development kit connectors.
- Own the IBM i software development kit delivery plan, including priorities, commitments, risks, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure connector releases meet quality, reliability, and supportability expectations before customer and partner release.
- Coordinate engineering analysis and durable fixes for customer escalations.
- Provide IBM i technical expertise for Sales, partners, and customer-facing teams through product guidance, demos, and solution support.
- Identify new IBM i connector opportunities, including potential electronic invoicing applications, while maintaining documentation and knowledge-transfer practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including hands-on IBM i experience.
- 3+ years of people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and team delivery ownership.
- Experience with RPG IV (ILE RPG), including free-format and fixed-format development.
- Experience with Control Language programs, systems analysis, application development, project management, change control, process improvement, documentation, research, and training.
- Experience with IBM i open-source functionality such as PASE, Python, Node, PHP, Git, nginx, or OpenSSH, plus software delivery across design, build, test, release, and production support.
