Technical Leader (PHP)

Location: Argentina — candidates must be based in La Plata, Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires (CABA), Córdoba, Rosario, or Mendoza. Hybrid work includes one day per week at the nearest office.

What you will do

• Build a broad understanding of the platform and the interaction between its services, from the network layer to the end user.
• Own the team's code quality, including reliability, security, performance, scalability, maintainability, and design standards.
• Define the technical vision for modules, products, or applications and create the roadmap to achieve it.
• Ensure roadmap execution, monitor the production environment, and guide tradeoffs between functional and non-functional requirements.
• Lead technical analysis and code reviews while coaching team members on technical matters.
• Collaborate with the team manager on team development and technical direction.

Requirements

• Strong background in object-oriented programming, architecture, performance, and efficiency.
• Experience with mentoring and technical leadership.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of Unix, preferably Linux.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Comfort using AI tools in daily work and interest in emerging AI capabilities.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript.
