Category Buyer Indirect Spend

Location: Hybrid in Apeldoorn, Netherlands

What you will do

• Develop and execute category strategies and plans for assigned indirect spend categories.
• Lead sourcing and tender projects from strategy through implementation.
• Partner with Finance, HR, IT, Facilities, Operations, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into procurement solutions.
• Negotiate contracts, commercial conditions, and service agreements with suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor spend and savings, and drive performance improvements.
• Support international procurement initiatives while contributing to sustainability, compliance, risk management, supplier consolidation, and standardisation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of working and thinking.
• Several years of experience in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, or supplier management.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, analytical, and commercial skills.
• Experience working with a broad stakeholder network.
• Confident communication in Dutch and English is required.
