Director of Talent (AI/Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Own full-cycle recruiting for specialized roles across quantum computing, AI research, software engineering, and systems architecture.
• Identify, source, engage, and close passive candidates through targeted outreach, creative sourcing, and industry networks.
• Develop recruiting strategies and talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Partner with hiring managers, senior technical leaders, and company leadership to define candidate profiles and search strategies.
• Manage screening, interview coordination, offers, negotiations, and candidate closing.
• Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive hiring practices while improving recruiting processes and candidate experience.

Requirements

• 10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a strong emphasis on technical sourcing and candidate closing.
• Successful recruiting experience in quantum computing, AI, machine learning, advanced hardware, or related deep-tech industries.
• Experience recruiting AI researchers, quantum physicists, research scientists, or specialized systems engineers.
• Strong ability to engage passive candidates and close senior-level, hard-to-fill technical positions.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, organization, and independent working skills.
• Experience recruiting internationally and partnering with senior technical leaders, researchers, and hiring managers.

Nice to have

• Experience recruiting for an early-stage or high-growth technology startup.
• Established networks in AI research, quantum computing, or frontier technology communities.
• Familiarity with academic research communities, technical conferences, and alternative sourcing channels.
