Manager, Scholarly Integrity

Salary: $9,599.75–$14,385.50 CAD monthly

What you will do

• Administer the University's Scholarly Integrity Policy (SC6) and ensure compliance with institutional and external requirements.
• Manage complaints, conduct initial inquiries, coordinate investigations, and ensure procedural fairness and confidentiality.
• Identify conflicts of interest and establish investigation committees when required.
• Liaise with the Tri-Agency Secretariat, external legal counsel, university portfolios, researchers, and other stakeholders.
• Draft correspondence and investigation reports, including reports required under Tri-agency standards.
• Develop scholarly integrity training, educational resources, website content, and policy improvements.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least seven years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Substantial experience conducting or managing investigations involving ethical standards or regulatory compliance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of research ethics, scholarly conduct policies, and the Tri-Agency Framework: Responsible Conduct of Research.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional correspondence and report writing.
• Ability to manage sensitive, high-stakes matters with discretion, confidentiality, sound judgment, and procedural fairness.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and respectful collaboration across diverse perspectives.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree, preferably a PhD.
• Experience liaising with national research agencies and external legal counsel.
• Experience developing educational materials and delivering training sessions.
