TL;DR
Software Development Lead (Gaming): Leading the development of scalable, high-performance systems for a live gaming product with an accent on hands-on technical leadership, .NET and Unity guidance, and production quality. Focus on designing software architecture, solving complex technical problems, adopting AI tools, and balancing delivery speed, quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Location: Hybrid role based in the Tel Aviv office, Israel

What you will do
- Lead and mentor software developers, QA engineers, technical artists, managers, and third-party providers.
- Own end-to-end development, including technical design, implementation, code reviews, delivery, monitoring, and production quality.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance systems for a live gaming product.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance with .NET and Unity and support architecture and implementation decisions.
- Collaborate with Product, Game Design, QA, DevOps, Data, and engineering teams to deliver player-focused features.
- Identify technical risks and improve engineering practices, architecture, performance, testing, and production stability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience and 1+ year as a Team Lead or Tech Lead.
- Experience managing third-party contractors and working with live or mobile games.
- Experience designing and developing large-scale software systems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, performance, testing, and production-quality development.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, review code, guide developers, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English and availability for a hybrid role based in the Tel Aviv office.
Nice to have
- Experience with .NET, SQL databases, Couchbase, or Elasticsearch.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as UTF or AltTester.
- Hands-on experience with Unity.
