Math Instructional Coach (Mathematics Education)

Location: Based in Los Angeles, US, with 30–50% travel to schools and districts

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 base salary per year; target total compensation of approximately $130,000 including performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Serve as a mathematics success specialist, helping transform how teachers think about and teach mathematics.
• Design and deliver personalized professional development journeys for schools and teachers.
• Coach teachers in real classrooms through observations, live modeling, and feedback cycles.
• Lead hands-on mathematics-focused professional development sessions and workshops.
• Drive measurable improvements in teacher confidence, student engagement, and conceptual understanding.
• Build relationships with educators, school leaders, and district-level administrators while developing a regional community of mathematics educators.

Requirements

• Strong background in mathematics, mathematics education, and instructional coaching.
• Current or former mathematics teaching experience with an academic and professional focus on mathematics and its teaching.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting educators in their instructional practice.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with teachers and education leaders.
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach and ability to build new initiatives from scratch.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% of the time and work in schools and classrooms across the region.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching or coaching elementary or K–8 mathematics.
• Experience creating relationships and opportunities with district-level administrators.
