Embedded Software Senior Engineer

Location: Full-time onsite at the Mossville, Illinois office. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Travel is 10%.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and enhancement of transmission systems.
• Plan, design, develop, test, and maintain transmission software with application leads and software architects.
• Integrate common software libraries and source code generated by code-generation tools.
• Test and debug embedded system software to improve code quality and optimize system performance.
• Perform laboratory verification and Model in the Loop testing.
• Identify product weaknesses and design software procedures to address them.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of engineering experience aligned with senior-level responsibilities.
• Experience using MATLAB and Simulink for software development.
• Extensive knowledge of Git, CANalyzer, CANape, and software debuggers.
• Knowledge of CAN and J1939 communication protocols.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, embedded systems, and requirements analysis skills.
