Senior Software Engineer (C4ISR)

What you will do

• Lead research, design, development, integration, testing, and enhancement of complex software, hardware, and firmware systems.
• Lead Combat Identification system development, programming, and enhancement for mission-critical applications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary software, hardware, firmware, and test engineering teams.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with Government representatives on technical, schedule, cost, risk, and program matters.
• Oversee contractor and subcontractor execution, workload planning, resource forecasting, and delivery against contract requirements.
• Mentor engineers, support recruiting and workforce development, and contribute to succession planning and performance evaluations.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to complete a government security investigation are required.
• Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Master’s degree in a technical discipline; Software Engineering or Systems Engineering is preferred, with no substitutions.
• At least 10 years of experience, including 6 years in software development or programming for Combat Identification and/or C4ISR systems.
• At least 3–5 years leading engineering teams or supervising technical personnel, plus at least 2 years as a Program Manager in a Department of War environment.
• Experience with embedded systems architecture, Agile Scrum development, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, and Bamboo.
