Senior Product Designer I (Healthcare)

Location: Fully remote in the UK or France; the role is associated with the London office and offers some flexibility to work across Europe.

Salary: £70,000–£80,000 per year, based on experience and value contributed.

What you will do

• Lead complex clinical design challenges from discovery through delivery, translating user needs, clinical requirements, and technical constraints into intuitive, accessible solutions.
• Design experiences that support clinical decision-making, care documentation, and complex healthcare workflows.
• Balance innovation with clinical safety by identifying risks, challenging assumptions, and designing appropriate safeguards.
• Use AI-assisted tools and emerging technologies for research, exploration, prototyping, iteration, and workflow improvement.
• Prototype with Figma, functional prototypes, and AI-assisted development tools to test assumptions and validate solutions.
• Facilitate collaboration among Product, Engineering, Clinical Safety, clinicians, and healthcare professionals through research, interviews, field visits, and usability testing.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing clinical systems or similarly high-risk software where errors can have significant consequences.
• Experience working with safety, risk, or regulatory specialists and applying sound judgement to complex product decisions.
• Strong UX, interaction, and visual design skills, with a portfolio showing complex workflows, accessible interfaces, and shipped products.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted tools for research, exploration, prototyping, or delivery.
• Experience conducting user research, navigating ambiguity, and using evidence to make product decisions.
• Ability to independently own complex design challenges and facilitate constructive collaboration across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience designing EHRs, EMRs, clinical decision-support systems, or AI-powered healthcare products.
• Experience designing AI-powered workflows, automation, or intelligent decision-support experiences.
• First-hand experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting.
