Associate Director, Enterprise Information Architecture (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Partner with the Senior Director to scale enterprise information architecture frameworks, standards, data domains, subdomains, and canonical data models.
• Provide architectural leadership for strategic data programs across Clinical Operations, Safety, Regulatory, Biometrics, and other enterprise domains.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data products and end-to-end data solutions for analytics and operational use cases.
• Guide adoption of common data models, semantic layers, architecture patterns, and Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
• Create and review data models, enforce data modeling standards, and develop semantic modeling and context engineering frameworks.
• Support trusted, governed, AI-ready data assets, including knowledge graphs, semantic models, and advanced analytics capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Data Management, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in data architecture, data management, or analytics within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with enterprise-scale data and analytics initiatives and Clinical Development or R&D data domains.
• Strong understanding of data lakehouse, data mesh, and medallion architectures, with hands-on Databricks and cloud platform experience across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with MDM/RDM, data governance and catalog tools, data quality frameworks, metadata management, lineage, SQL, and data modeling.
• Understanding of GxP and regulatory requirements, plus strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
