Implementation Architect (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, or Amsterdam, with office attendance 3 days per week. Remote roles require in-person attendance once per quarter.

Salary: $140K–$220K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead implementation kickoffs and technical discovery covering pricing models, data architecture, and integration requirements.
• Design approaches for usage-based pricing, hybrid models, credits, commitments, and other complex business logic.
• Guide customers through API design, event ingestion, webhook configuration, and invoice customization.
• Troubleshoot implementation issues and serve as the ongoing technical contact for strategic accounts.
• Partner with Customer Success and customer engineering, finance, and product teams to support successful onboarding and long-term customer health.
• Identify recurring customer friction and contribute to product improvements, documentation, best practices, and reference architectures.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a technical post-sales role such as solutions engineering, implementation consulting, technical account management, or customer engineering.
• Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and system integration concepts, including reading API documentation and debugging integration issues.
• Comfort with SQL and complex data relationships.
• Experience owning customer relationships through implementation and onboarding.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
• Accountability for customer outcomes, complex problem-solving, and identifying scalable solutions across engagements.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS, Python, PostgreSQL, Apache Druid, ClickHouse, Kafka, Spark Streaming, or AWS is not required but may be useful.
