Data Architect (Azure)

Location: Hybrid role based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with work from the office, home, and client sites.

What you will do

• Lead client engagements and act as a trusted data architecture advisor to middle and senior-level management.
• Design robust, scalable data architectures and pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Develop cloud and distributed data solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and frameworks such as Spark and Kafka.
• Create logical and physical data models and optimize relational, NoSQL, time-series, and graph database solutions.
• Implement batch, streaming, and real-time data integration patterns, supported by CI/CD and DataOps practices.
• Contribute to hirify.global’s data engineering offerings through training, publications, business development, and mentoring junior to medior consultants.

Requirements

• Completed WO Master’s degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with substantial programming.
• 3–6 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent academic research.
• Experience or strong interest in data engineering, data, and AI-related topics.
• Strong analytical, systematic problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Fluency in Dutch with excellent communication and presentation abilities is required.
• Work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Fluency in German or French.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or comparable data platforms.
