What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a global team of turbine engineering professionals.
• Define the technical strategy and execution roadmap for SGT-9000HL turbine-module development, upgrades, fleet improvements, and issue resolution.
• Lead turbine-frame design reviews and technical decisions from concept development through manufacturing, testing, validation, and product release.
• Direct technical programs, root cause analyses, and design down-selection within quality, schedule, and budget targets.
• Manage resources, budgets, manpower, engineering processes, and accountable work packages.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, Procurement, Fleet Management, Product Management, and Project organizations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Extensive experience in gas turbine product design and development, including turbine frames, hot gas path components, and mechanical integrity.
• Advanced knowledge of gas turbine engineering, heat transfer, and turbine-module development.
• Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and SAP.
• Leadership experience with diverse global engineering teams, including coaching, resource planning, and performance management.
• Business-fluent English and German are required. Strong project management, strategic planning, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are also required.
