Application Scientist (Clinical Genomics)

Location: Czechia (remote); international business travel in Europe is required.

What you will do

• Support pre-sales discussions through expert demonstrations, customer evaluations, clinical use-case analysis, and advice on laboratory equipment and system integrations.
• Lead onboarding for geneticists and bioinformaticians and support on-premises and private-cloud deployments.
• Coordinate infrastructure requirements, including storage and network specifications, between customers and DevOps.
• Optimize variant filtering strategies and automation workflows to support efficient routine operations.
• Collect power-user feedback, contribute to product roadmap decisions, and support conference presentations and technical white papers.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations, and growth teams to translate technical features into customer benefits.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Human Genetics, Laboratory Medicine, Molecular Biology, Pathology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with clinical genomics workflows, including NGS library preparation, sequencing, and secondary or tertiary analysis.
• Strong understanding of variant classification frameworks and NGS workflows.
• Ability to explain complex clinical genomics, bioinformatics, and IT concepts to clinicians, laboratory technicians, researchers, and IT professionals.
• Native Czech and proficient English are required.
• Strong scientific rigor, commercial awareness, self-organization, prioritization, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience interpreting NGS patient cases in a hospital or private laboratory.
• Familiarity with regulated environments such as IVDR, CLIA/CAP, or similar standards.
• Experience working in multicultural environments or supporting international customers in a scale-up setting.
