Plant Cost Analyst – Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Manufacturing Finance)

Location: Hybrid; the role may be based in Asturias, Spain; Budapest, Hungary; Kunshan, China; or TecnoParque GBS, Mexico.

What you will do

• Serve as the functional expert for Plant Cost Analysis, product costing, inventory valuation, manufacturing finance, Material Ledger, standard costing, actual costing, and variance reporting.
• Advise GBS, Operations Finance, Plant Controllers, Business Units, Controllership, IT, Supply Chain Finance, and other stakeholders on costing, inventory accounting, reporting, and financial controls.
• Evaluate and implement global PCA best practices, process simplification, standardization, automation, digitalization, system enhancements, dashboards, and analytical capabilities.
• Support workshops, process design, user stories, testing, solution validation, system implementations, integrations, and finance transformation projects.
• Resolve complex costing, inventory valuation, month-end close, reporting, and manufacturing finance issues while supporting root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain PCA governance and standards, provide training and documentation, communicate project risks and progress, and support change management and decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Plant Controlling, Cost Analysis, Manufacturing Finance, or Product Costing.
• Strong understanding of Plant Cost Analysis, Product Costing, Inventory Valuation, and Manufacturing Finance.
• Knowledge of SAP and financial reporting systems.
• Experience supporting global processes, reporting, and system improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and time management skills.
• Ability to lead initiatives, influence without authority, execute through others, and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
