TL;DR
Cost Control Manager (Manufacturing): Overseeing cost accounting, financial reporting, inventory controls, fixed assets, and CAPEX for a manufacturing plant with an accent on financial compliance, cost variance analysis, and asset protection. Focus on leading period-end close, strengthening SOX and GAAP controls, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and partnering with plant operations, engineering, and corporate finance.

Location: MX El Salto Plant, Mexico; in-office role

What you will do

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end cost closing and financial reporting.
  • Analyze cost variances, identify financial risks, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, U.S. GAAP, local GAAP, and company policies.
  • Oversee inventory controls, fixed assets, CAPEX, and the Fixed Asset Analyst.
  • Partner with plant operations, engineering, and corporate finance to improve financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 5+ years of Finance, Controlling, or Cost Accounting experience, including leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, local GAAP, SOX, cost accounting, and CAPEX.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Advanced English and strong analytical and leadership skills.

Nice to have

  • MBA or postgraduate degree.
