What you will do

• Plan transportation needs to maximize capacity, minimize partial trailer loads, and maintain service integrity.
• Direct the dispatch of transportation equipment according to the linehaul plan.
• Coordinate and track trailers, rental equipment, new trailers, dollies, and locally domiciled unassigned team logistics.
• Coordinate cargo shipments and enter trip details into the transportation management system.
• Complete yard inventories and checks, verify load and unload status, and report missing equipment.
• Investigate delays, accidents, and equipment failures; implement contingency plans and communicate safety and DOT issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or a related area preferred.
• Dispatch experience preferred.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and DOT requirements.
• Time management, organizational, multitasking, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and web-based applications; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
