Spec Assign - LH Coordinator-1 (Linehaul Logistics)

Location: Kernersville, North Carolina, United States; onsite

Salary: $20.35–$34.97 per hour

What you will do

• Direct the dispatch of transportation equipment according to linehaul plans and schedules.
• Coordinate cargo shipments to maximize trailer volume while meeting delivery obligations.
• Enter dispatch events into the transportation management system and track trailer pickups and deliveries.
• Complete yard inventories and checks to verify equipment and trailer load status.
• Investigate schedule delays, accidents, and equipment failures, and implement contingency plans.
• Coordinate with Safety and Maintenance to monitor tractor inspections, certificates, and DOT compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dispatch experience preferred.
• Knowledge of linehaul operations, transportation procedures, and DOT regulations.
• Time management, organizational, multitasking, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Ability to work productively in a fast-paced team environment.
