What you will do

• Recruit and clinically assess participants with psychosis, including the use of clinical rating scales.
• Organise and acquire MRI, EEG and other experimental measures.
• Study the causes of schizophrenia and related disorders, including excitation-inhibition balance in psychotic disorders.
• Maintain high-quality research governance across projects.
• Help analyse, interpret and publish research findings.
• Collaborate with research workers, local clinical services and researchers on related projects.

Requirements

• Full GMC registration with a valid licence to practise is essential.
• Experience assessing patients with psychotic disorders in UK or similar healthcare settings.
• Strong interest and aptitude for research, particularly psychopharmacology, neuroimaging or psychosis.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and contribute effectively to a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice to have

• Training or experience with psychiatric rating scales or neuroimaging measures.
• Experience acquiring or analysing PET, MRI, EEG or MEG data.
• Experience working with patients with psychosis in research or related settings.
• Knowledge of drug treatments for psychosis.
• Relevant publications or conference abstracts.
