Principal Scientist, Biologics

What you will do

• Shape hirify.global Lab’s platform by bringing biological insight into machine learning system design, evaluation, and scientific workflows.
• Guide model development by defining biologically meaningful objectives, datasets, and evaluation criteria.
• Ensure tools reflect real-world biologics engineering workflows across antibodies, peptides, and other biologic modalities.
• Interpret model outputs and failure modes, connecting computational results to biological and experimental outcomes.
• Partner with ML researchers and engineers to translate biological problems into practical modeling requirements.
• Influence product decisions, platform design, and roadmap direction while driving projects from concept to deployment.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent, plus industrial or academic research experience in biologics engineering, structural biology, protein science, bioengineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience designing, engineering, or characterizing biologics.
• Deep understanding of biologics discovery and optimization workflows.
• Experience working with ML researchers and engineers and translating biological problems into modeling objectives and evaluation criteria.
• Experience interpreting computational model outputs and relating them to biological and experimental outcomes.
• Strong communication skills and product-minded scientific judgment for interdisciplinary work.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with structural modeling, docking, protein design, structure prediction, scoring, or simulation workflows.
• Experience using hirify.global models in biologics research projects.
• Interest in scaling scientific impact through platforms, tools, or open scientific infrastructure.
