Undergraduate Clinical Development Scientist (Vaccine Clinical Research)

Location: Marlow, United Kingdom; hybrid work arrangement. The placement starts on 1 September 2027 and runs for 12 months. Applicants must be eligible to work unrestricted in the UK on a full-time basis.

What you will do

• Support multiple global Phase 1–4 vaccine clinical studies within clinical programs.
• Learn how clinical protocols are developed for new vaccines and understand regulatory approval requirements across countries.
• Review and interpret clinical data and support medical oversight of clinical studies.
• Monitor vaccine safety and study participant well-being while following relevant procedures and Good Clinical Practice.
• Support vaccine clinical programs and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and regions.
• Participate in UK STEM Hub activities, including careers fairs, school clubs, practical demonstrations, and mock job interviews.

Requirements

• Completing a placement as part of a degree course at a UK university through a Year in Industry, Industrial Placement, or Gap Year.
• On track for a degree classification, preferably in life sciences or chemistry.
• Fluent English is essential.
• Unrestricted eligibility to work full time in the UK is required.
• Strong communication skills, self-assurance, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.
• Open-mindedness, motivation to grow, and willingness to work in a busy clinical environment.
