What you will do

• Lead project teams delivering bespoke algorithms and high-stakes AI solutions for retail and consumer clients.
• Translate complex business problems into feasible data science approaches and clear delivery milestones.
• Design software architectures for data science solutions in collaboration with engineering colleagues.
• Build client relationships, support business development, and own the technical side of project engagements.
• Estimate timelines, maintain delivery rigour, and uphold responsible AI practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor data scientists and contribute to hiring at hirify.global.

Requirements

• Senior professional experience in data science or a quantitative academic field.
• Broad knowledge of state-of-the-art machine learning and AI, with the ability to apply novel approaches to complex problems.
• Rigorous model validation skills, including assessment of real-world performance and edge cases.
• Experience scoping projects, evaluating technical feasibility, and defining delivery milestones.
• Mastery of Python and relevant frameworks, plus the ability to architect production-grade infrastructure for sophisticated models and agentic AI systems.
• Clear communication skills, a commitment to accountability and transparency, and experience mentoring data scientists.
