What you will do
- Manage grid infrastructure for utility-scale PV power plants and BESS projects from early development through energization and handover to O&M.
- Engineer and design grid connections, including cables, transmission lines, substations, grid connection bays, and auxiliary structures.
- Support project development with grid feasibility studies, grid access evaluations, connection agreements, and technical due diligence.
- Specify and coordinate tenders for transformers, substations, AIS/GIS switchgear, and cable infrastructure.
- Qualify engineering consultants, coordinate subcontractors and on-site teams, and manage technical documentation for stakeholders, clients, lenders, and advisers.
- Coordinate with utilities and third-party technical advisers and ensure grid code compliance for project energization.
Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, energy technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience and international project management experience in power plant grid connections from medium to extra-high voltage.
- Strong knowledge of energy technology, associated civil and structural works, electromechanical systems, PGC, and grid compliance codes.
- Solid understanding of the NGCP process and grid connection in the Philippines.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and support the development of junior colleagues; MS Office competence is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with grid compliance studies, PowerFactory, PSS/E, or CAD tools.
- Certifications in AutoCAD, PowerFactory, PSS/E, or PMI.
