Crime & Regulatory Paralegal

What you will do

• Support a Lead Lawyer on criminal, regulatory, motor crime, and inquest matters.
• Attend conferences, hearings, inquests, and case strategy meetings.
• Take accurate notes covering decisions, legal advice, and action points.
• Liaise with courts, barristers, clients, experts, and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare hearing papers, bundles, chronologies, document reviews, and case materials.
• Coordinate complex cases and help ensure key deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Law degree or relevant legal work experience, placement experience, or previous paralegal experience.
• Genuine interest in criminal, regulatory, or inquest work.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Fast and accurate note-taking skills.
• Confident diary management and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with courts, counsel's clerks, clients, experts, and regulators.
