Forward Deployed SAP Engineer (All Genders)

Location: Remote; willingness to travel in the DACH region and other European countries is required.

What you will do

• Work with customer departments, IT teams, internal stakeholders, and engineering teams to identify suitable AI use cases in SAP environments.
• Translate technical requirements into solutions and independently deliver implementations from prototype to production.
• Develop SAP extensions and AI-based applications using technologies such as SAP AI Core and SAP Joule.
• Integrate LLMs and AI agents into SAP business processes and connect SAP and non-SAP systems through APIs and interfaces.
• Iterate on solutions using user feedback, testing, and measurable customer value while ensuring quality, security, and performance.
• Support deployment, go-live, operational handover, reusable component development, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Completed studies in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in SAP development or architecture, ideally in S/4HANA projects.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS Views, and OData, plus experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience with SAP BTP, including CAP, Integration Suite, or HANA Cloud, and with SAP and non-SAP system integration.
• Practical AI experience, with knowledge of LLMs, SAP Business AI, RAG, embeddings, or agent systems, or the willingness to develop these skills quickly.
• Good German skills and negotiable English skills are required, along with willingness to travel in the DACH region and other European countries.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP Generative AI Hub, Joule, or Azure OpenAI.
