Director of Media Relations (AI)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States

Base salary: $170,000–$300,000 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and/or commission eligibility.

What you will do

• Own and execute the global media relations strategy across Silicon Valley and beyond.
• Advise the CEO and senior leadership on external communications and media engagement.
• Prepare executives for media interactions, speaking engagements, and industry events.
• Assess and manage inbound media opportunities in line with company strategy.
• Develop narratives positioning Nscale as a leader in AI infrastructure.
• Lead communications planning, media processes, and response guidance around launches, announcements, milestones, and sensitive situations.

Requirements

• Significant experience in media relations, corporate communications, or external communications in technology or infrastructure.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, or complex organizations.
• Strong experience supporting senior executives and preparing them for high-visibility engagements.
• Excellent judgment, prioritization, risk assessment, and recommendation skills.
• Experience handling sensitive or high-pressure communications professionally.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to combine strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
