Director, Transformation Communications (AI)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States

Base pay: $126,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute communication strategies for organizational transformations, AI adoption, leadership transitions, restructures, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
• Create audience-specific messaging and communication plans for employees, customers, leaders, and external stakeholders.
• Translate complex business and technology changes into clear narratives that support understanding, engagement, and adoption.
• Advise senior leaders and project teams, assess stakeholder needs, and identify communication risks.
• Coordinate messaging across corporate communications, business leadership, HR, legal, and project teams.
• Support external announcements, media considerations, and rapid-response communications.

Requirements

• 10+ years of communications experience supporting complex business initiatives, organizational change, and strategic transformation.
• Experience leading communications for large-scale change programs, restructures, leadership transitions, or M&A activities.
• Strong executive communications, writing, storytelling, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage competing priorities, and handle confidential or sensitive information.
• Experience translating complex topics into clear, actionable communications.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and data-driven approaches supporting communication planning, engagement, and change adoption.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, technology, or highly regulated industries.
• Media relations, external communications, organizational effectiveness, enterprise transformation, technology modernization, digital transformation, or AI implementation experience.
• Columbus location is highly preferred.
