Senior Solutions Engineer (Networking) – UK & Ireland

Location: UK (hybrid), covering the UK and Ireland; travel is required mainly across the UK and Ireland

OTE: 100–120K, with a 70/30 split, based on qualifications and experience

What you will do

• Own the technical strategy for complex enterprise, public-sector, healthcare, education, and CNI opportunities.
• Design end-to-end solutions across fabric, wireless, SD-WAN, security, and cloud management.
• Lead RFP and tender responses, public-sector framework submissions, proof-of-concepts, and demonstrations.
• Present solutions to engineering teams, CIOs, and board-level stakeholders.
• Build customer and partner relationships and represent customer needs internally.
• Mentor solutions engineers and lead partner and MSP enablement.

Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of experience in networking pre-sales.
• Proven record of closing large, complex deals.
• Deep knowledge of Layer 2/3 switching, IPv4/IPv6 routing, fabric and overlays including SPB and VXLAN/EVPN.
• Strong Wi-Fi design, network security, presentation, laboratory, and proof-of-concept experience.
• Tenacity, ownership, and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work in the UK on a hybrid basis and travel across the UK and Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-managed networking, virtualization, SD-WAN/SASE, automation, and APIs.
• Partner enablement experience.
• UK public-sector experience or SC clearance.
• Industry certifications, including Extreme certifications.
