AI Developer (Germany)

Location: Germany; remote, office-based, and hybrid work options are available.

Salary: EUR 5,600–9,000 gross per month. Additional earnings of up to EUR 1,000 per month may be included in the annual bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and integrate AI functions into business applications.
• Create prompts, prepare data for RAG, and support AI testing.
• Evaluate and monitor AI-generated answers and quality.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and the AI Act.
• Support AI-assisted software development within the team.
• Contribute to modernization, migration, and operational support for a secure on-premises regulatory software platform.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with LLMs such as GPT-4, Mistral, or LLaMA.
• Experience with prompt engineering, context and agentic engineering, and vibe coding.
• Experience with RAG and technologies such as FAISS, Qdrant, Milvus, or ChromaDB.
• Experience with Python, Spring AI, HuggingFace APIs, OCR, embeddings, and vector storage.
• Experience evaluating and monitoring AI answers and working with GDPR and AI Act compliance.
• English at Intermediate level or higher and German at Upper-Intermediate level or higher are required.

Nice to have

• Experience self-hosting open-weight LLMs with vLLM or Ollama on on-premises infrastructure.
• Experience with OCR for German administrative documents, including OZG inboxes.
