Systems & Performance Engineer (Fixed Term)

What you will do

• Interpret and manage customer technical requirements for new and modified flight control products.
• Flow technical requirements to component suppliers through controlled engineering documentation.
• Assess compliance through engineering analysis, similarity assessments, and testing.
• Define validation and verification documentation, test schedules, procedures, technical reports, and compliance matrices.
• Analyse the sizing and performance of hydraulically and electrically powered secondary flight control products using modelling and simulation.
• Prepare customer RFI and RFP technical content, lead product investigations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with experience analysing complex mechanical systems.
• Experience with computer-based modelling and simulation techniques.
• Understanding of systems requirements definition and validation and verification processes.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Mathcad, Excel, and Word.
• Strong report-writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Aerospace industry experience and knowledge of secondary flight control actuation systems and functional design.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
• Familiarity with ARP4754 and aerospace systems development processes.
• Experience providing technical guidance to junior engineers or technicians.
