Signal Integrity Engineer (PCIe)

Location: Zhubei City, Taiwan; onsite hardware engineering role.

What you will do

• Own signal integrity analysis for enterprise SSD hardware from architecture through production.
• Make board-level decisions involving PCB materials, stackups, via structures, loss tradeoffs, and channel optimization.
• Run insertion loss, return loss, crosstalk, TDR, impedance, eye diagram, jitter, and margin analyses.
• Lead TDR and S-parameter measurements, including setup, calibration, and de-embedding.
• Perform 3D-EM extraction and simulation for vias, connectors, and complex channel structures, correlating models with laboratory measurements.
• Collaborate with PCB design, system, firmware, mechanical, and test teams; document design guidelines and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Experience in signal integrity engineering for high-speed systems.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Strong simulation experience for PCIe channel analysis, eye simulations, jitter, and margin analysis; NAND and DDR experience is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with TDR and S-parameter measurements.
• Strong understanding of PCB materials, stackups, and via structures from a signal integrity perspective.
• Deep experience with Simbeor, including 3D-EM extraction and simulation, plus the ability to lead cross-functional technical work.

Nice to have

• Experience with SSD designs across different form factors.
• Experience with SSD standards and compliance testing, including PCI-SIG and NVMe.
• M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
