Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Berlin, Germany. Hybrid work with three days of in-office collaboration on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, plus two optional work-from-home focus days. Work from anywhere in the world is available for 30 days per year.

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and analysts to develop and iterate on customer-centric solutions.
• Design, launch, and iterate on A/B experiments to improve product offerings.
• Build scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Vue, Node, and related technologies.
• Improve code quality, system efficiency, testing practices, and development processes.
• Contribute to technical strategy, mentor team members, and participate in hiring.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Strong Java expertise and experience with web application architecture.
• Experience developing web applications with component-based frameworks.
• Strong testing experience and ability to create maintainable code.
• Experience with customer-centric prioritization and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of AI technologies and sound judgment regarding quality and security are also expected.

Nice to have

• Experience with A/B testing, hypothesis development, and event-based analytics.
• Experience with Node, Vue, or similar component-based frontend frameworks.
• Experience in e-commerce or startup environments.
