TL;DR
Finance Analyst/Senior Finance Analyst Corporate and Consumer (SAP): Owning end-to-end accounting, close processes, balance sheet integrity, statutory reporting, and controls for complex business areas with an accent on IFRS, SOX, multi-entity record-to-report, and process improvement. Focus on reviewing complex accounting judgments, resolving reconciliations and intercompany issues, leading audit and control remediation, and applying SAP, automation, and AI to improve close performance.
Location: Hybrid, with an expectation of working in the Livingston office 2 days per week. Appropriate right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

What you will do
- Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for assigned entities or process areas and sign off results for Group submission.
- Review journals, accruals, provisions, complex accounting judgments, and balance sheet reconciliations for compliance with SOX, IFRS, and group policy.
- Analyse and explain P&L and balance sheet movements to Financial Controllers, FP&A, and senior finance stakeholders.
- Oversee intercompany matching, settlements, disputes, technical accounting queries, statutory reporting, audits, and control effectiveness.
- Act as an escalation point and reviewer for Senior Assistant Analysts and the offshore RTR team, while coaching and developing colleagues.
- Lead close improvement initiatives involving journal automation, reconciliation standardisation, SAP, Power Automation, AI, finance transformation, and KPI reporting.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
- Strong record-to-report experience in a large, multi-entity organisation, including review responsibility.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS and financial controls.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP experience; SAP is preferred.
- Confident communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting issues clearly and challenge stakeholders constructively.
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Appropriate right to work in the UK.
