TL;DR
Financial Accountant (SAP/IFRS): Producing month-end and statutory financial reporting for head office entities with an accent on financial controls, accounting accuracy, and process improvement. Focus on preparing journals, maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, supporting SAP BPC consolidation, and addressing complex financing, tax, accrual, and capital expenditure issues.
Location: Surrey-Woking, UK

What you will do
- Produce accurate month-end reporting and statutory reporting deliverables for head office companies.
- Review accounting journals, maintain complete balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure accurate entries in SAP ECC.
- Prepare monthly reporting packs using SAP BPC and support Group IFRS quarterly and annual reporting.
- Assist with head office statutory accounts under FRS 101 and prepare consolidation journals and financial disclosures.
- Complete financial controls under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act framework and support reporting-related projects.
- Coordinate with shared finance, FP&A, commercial finance, tax, treasury, legal, Companies House, ONS, and internal and external auditors.
Requirements
- Experience in financial accounting and month-end close activities.
- Strong knowledge of International Accounting Standards and financial reporting.
- Experience with people management, process development, and implementation.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, finance software, SAP ECC, and SAP BPC.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, and/or a relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Audit experience and qualification or experience as a financial accountant.
