Head of Douyin (Douyin)

Location: Shanghai, China. The role is office-based with a hybrid option of working from home up to two days per week. No relocation assistance is offered.

What you will do

• Develop Douyin’s commercial strategy and roadmap for China toward 2030.
• Lead joint business planning with Douyin, balancing growth, profitability, and brand health.
• Transform the Douyin platform business into a scalable growth model by identifying opportunities, optimizing commercial strategies, and improving channel productivity.
• Lead business reviews using data insights and coordinate marketing, operations, and supply chain teams for product launches and promotions.
• Manage the Douyin partner strategically and operationally, including store operations, live streaming, and retail media.
• Build, coach, and empower a cohesive team while partnering with global and local cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Experience managing Douyin store operations, daily trading, and business performance.
• Experience owning a Douyin store P&L, including profitability and investment decisions.
• Experience defining and executing Douyin channel strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
• Strong commercial acumen, customer partnership, and joint business planning skills.
• Experience driving shopper engagement, membership operations, and O2O initiatives.
• Strong collaboration, influence, resilient leadership, change agility, communication, and cultural sensitivity.
