Staff Data Analytics Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Remote, but candidates must be based in California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, or Texas

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain dbt and semantic models in Snowflake for reliable, documented product metrics.
• Build ingestion and transformation pipelines and align with Data Engineering on shared infrastructure and standards.
• Create AI-ready semantic models, metric definitions, and documentation for Snowflake Cortex and CoWork agents.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define data capture, modeling decisions, and measurable feature outcomes.
• Analyze product performance, including experiment readouts and significance testing, and resolve data collection gaps.
• Review and validate SQL, dbt, and AI-generated code while documenting models, metrics, and design decisions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, or a closely related role.
• Strong SQL and dbt skills, including incremental models and testing.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience, including semantic modeling.
• Experience building data quality tests and monitoring, and partnering with product teams to define metrics.
• Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude, including reviewing, testing, and validating generated outputs.
• Experience working with privacy and compliance requirements in regulated environments, plus strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Snowflake Cortex, CoWork agents, or other LLM-based tooling.
• Statistics and experimentation experience.
• Healthcare, claims, insurance, or HIPAA familiarity.
• Python, Fivetran or other ELT tools, and Tableau or other BI tools.
