Education Research Consulting Sr, Associate/Assoicate, Research Security/Export Control

Location: Remote within the United States; office location listed as Chicago, Illinois. Current U.S. work authorization is required. Travel of up to 50% may be required.

Base salary: $100,000–$145,000 annually. Total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation: $115,000–$166,750.

What you will do

• Lead consulting project workstreams focused on research security, export control, and institutional governance.
• Implement solutions that improve research security administration and organizational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with university, healthcare, and research institution leadership and staff.
• Apply consulting methodologies, analytics tools, and governance practices to complex client projects.
• Manage junior hirify.global team members and coordinate work across multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

• Current U.S. work authorization required.
• At least three years of experience in consulting, higher education, healthcare, or a related field.
• Direct experience in a university, hospital, or research institute research security or export control office or function.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Strong consulting, relationship-building, project management, analytics, and regulatory compliance skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.

Nice to have

• Export Compliance Professional certification.
• Experience with secure research, conflicts of interest, conflicts of commitment, research operations, or regulatory compliance.
• Previous consulting experience.
