Software Engineer (Electronic Warfare)

Location: Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane, Australia; onsite company facilities with flexible working hours and patterns depending on location.

What you will do

• Develop modular, readable, and robust software for electronic warfare and defence systems using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript/React, and C++.
• Contribute across requirements analysis, systems design, agile development, code review, test-driven development, integration, and verification.
• Present software design details to customers and audiences with varied engineering expertise.
• Collaborate with software engineers, other engineering disciplines, and management to deliver complete solutions.
• Maintain internal and deliverable documentation and provide engineering support to manufacturing.
• Support internal and external demonstrations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience developing defence-system software with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript/React, and C++.
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including systems design, testing, integration, and verification.
• Ability to communicate technical design details to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across software, engineering, and management teams.
• Many roles require Australian citizenship and an Australian Defence Security Clearance and/or eligibility to work with ITAR information.
