What you will do

• Integrate and validate firmware, software, boards, and silicon/SoC components for 200G, 400G, 800G, and 1.6T Ethernet PHY subsystems.
• Design, develop, test, validate, and debug software across firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, frameworks, and applications.
• Develop customized IPU- and FNIC-based solutions addressing isolation, security, performance, storage, and system management requirements.
• Build prototypes, conduct lab experiments, run benchmark tests, and analyze performance in simulated real-world environments.
• Investigate customer issues, respond to technical requests, and prepare installation, operation, maintenance, and customer application documentation.
• Collaborate with cloud service providers and silicon, hardware, firmware, and software teams on requirements, architecture, and feature development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience developing software and firmware automated test environments and tools using Python, C, C++, Git, Docker, Grafana, and shell scripts.
• 6+ years of experience validating and characterizing IPs in standalone and full-chip environments, including results analysis and debugging with oscilloscopes, analyzers, and other lab equipment.
• 4+ years of experience with networking fundamentals, including NICs, switching, and modern data center protocols.
• Project management, organizational, communication, collaboration, and technical problem-solving skills.
• On-site presence in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher and technical leadership experience.
• Experience with high-speed Ethernet PAM4 SerDes, 802.3 Physical Layer technologies, Auto-Negotiation, Link Training, and Forward Error Correction.
• Experience defining SoC integration requirements, debugging low-level SerDes and firmware issues, and working with RTOS, NVM configuration, or pre-silicon verification.
• Experience interpreting hierarchical PCB schematics and working with I2C, MDIO, UART, Linux, and system software stacks.
