Finance Business Partner - Group Functions & Optimisation (Retail)

Location: Hybrid, based in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia

What you will do

• Act as a commercial finance advisor to senior leaders across People, Strategy, Finance, Corporate Affairs, and Executive Offices.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, planning, and monthly performance cycles across the Group Functions portfolio.
• Partner with EndeavourGO and Procurement on business case modelling, benefits realisation, and strategic transformation projects.
• Analyse monthly performance against targets, explain key drivers, and identify risks and commercial opportunities.
• Prepare financial commentary and performance insights for Group FP&A, senior Finance leaders, and executive forums.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, use data and automation, and strengthen governance and controls.

Requirements

• CA, CPA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• 5–7+ years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or finance business partnering within a complex corporate environment.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, analytical, and commercial skills, with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
• Confidence building relationships with senior stakeholders and providing constructive challenge.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and experience with SAP, TM1, or modern FP&A platforms.
• Retail, FMCG, or an adjacent industry experience is advantageous.
