Assistant Vice President or Vice President (APAC Credit Ratings)

Location: Sydney, Australia; hybrid work with four days in the office each week

hirify.global provides independent credit ratings and opinions for corporate and sovereign entities, financial institutions, and project and structured finance instruments globally.

What you will do

• Lead and support credit rating assignments for APAC structured finance transactions, including securitisations, project finance debt, and other financing structures.
• Conduct ongoing surveillance of existing APAC structured finance ratings.
• Prepare internal committee memos, external reports, press releases, and research pieces.
• Review transaction legal documentation and liaise with legal counsel on relevant matters.
• Review originators, servicers, and other transaction parties with operational risk analysts.
• Analyse performance trends, support methodology development, review amendments or restructurings, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, financial engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
• Experience with ABS, RMBS, project finance, or digital infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of structured finance products, markets, legal documentation, and credit rating agency operations.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including cash-flow analysis and data management.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Unlimited right to work in Australia is required; applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents. Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and travel domestically or internationally occasionally.
