Sr Compensation Consultant

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; Flex hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days remote. Other listed location: Richardson, Texas.

Base pay: $76,600–$138,500 annually, depending on skills, education, knowledge, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Advise assigned lines of business on complex compensation issues and market trends.
• Balance business talent needs with the organization’s compensation philosophy.
• Partner consultatively with HR business partners and other stakeholders.
• Build dynamic visualizations and dashboards covering pay parity, market gaps, and cost-impact scenarios.
• Translate complex compensation concepts and market data into actionable recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Five years of relevant compensation experience.
• Expert Microsoft Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, logic formulas, and nested formulas.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and collaborative document tools.
• Advanced proficiency with market pricing tools such as MarketPay or Payfactors.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the office.

Nice to have

• Completed or pursuing Certified Compensation Professional certification.
• Experience in complex or highly regulated environments.
• Experience using Workday for compensation administration.
