Compensation Senior Consultant (Financial Services)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $95,600–$162,400 USD annually, plus potential discretionary bonus and equity component.

What you will do

• Advise HR partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders on complex compensation matters.
• Develop recommendations for internal moves, retention cases, off-cycle adjustments, reorganizations, and other pay decisions.
• Design and apply compensation solutions covering base pay, incentives, variable compensation, and recognition programs.
• Conduct job evaluations, leveling assessments, market-pricing analyses, and pay recommendations.
• Prepare executive-ready analyses that explain findings, alternatives, risks, and recommendations.
• Lead and support the global annual compensation cycle, including pay-equity analysis, system testing, communications, enablement, and issue resolution.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive compensation experience, preferably in financial services.
• Advanced knowledge of market pricing, compensation surveys, job evaluation, job architecture, salary structures, incentives, internal equity, pay transparency, and governance.
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management, analytical, critical-thinking, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Experience working with complex datasets, analytical models, and executive-ready materials.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
