Senior Compensation Analyst (Workday)

Location: Remote; travel 1–20% within the US

Salary: $90,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, administer, and continuously improve compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, job evaluations, and market pricing.
• Prepare compensation analytics, reports, salary recommendations, and audit documentation for HR and business leaders.
• Serve as the Workday compensation functional lead, supporting configuration, issue resolution, release testing, job profiles, and compensation transactions.
• Administer annual merit increases and incentive awards through Workday Advanced Compensation.
• Partner with HRIS, HR business partners, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders.
• Identify process improvements and communicate compensation guidance clearly and effectively.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of applicable experience; 5 or more years of compensation experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in human resources is preferred.
• Experience with compensation principles, market pricing, job evaluation, salary structures, incentive plans, and pay equity.
• Experience with Workday compensation functionality, including job profiles, compensation plans, eligibility rules, business processes, reporting, and Advanced Compensation.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
• Ability to analyze complex data, maintain confidentiality and accuracy, manage competing priorities, and communicate recommendations effectively.

Nice to have

• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification.
• Experience using AI tools such as Copilot to improve efficiency and processes.
